Water Rates
Service rates at Shoreline Water District consist of the following charges:
Base Charge: A flat amount charged by the District to pay for the operation and maintenance of the water system.
Consumption Charge: An amount charged by the District for each unit of water used. Shoreline Water District measures water by "hundred cubic feet" which is abbreviated as "CCF". 1 CCF = 748 gallons.
Capital Improvement Charge: This is a flat rate $1.50 per month ($3.00/billing period) which is transferred to the District's capital fund and used to pay for capital projects (pipes, pumps, tanks, etc.) and capital purchases (equipment).
City Franchise Fee: This is a fee imposed by the city in which your property is located. The fee is equal to 6% of your base charge + consumption charge.
