Commissioner Larry Schoonmaker is the newest member to the Board of Commissioners although he is not new to the water industry.  Before moving to the Shoreline area, Larry served in Burien, Washington as a Commissioner for approximately 10 years at King County Water District #49.  In 1990, Larry opened up the North City Bistro.  A few years later, he moved to Shoreline.  

Larry was first appointed to the  Board of Commissioners as a replacement for an outgoing Commissioner in March of 2006.  He has since been re-elected to the position.  When asked what he likes most about serving as a water commissioner, Larry stated that he enjoys staying busy and having the opportunity to give back to the local community.
